"Summer Quintet"- Image City Photography Gallery
Dear Friends of Image City Photography Gallery,
With our first exhibit of the summer, we are pleased to announce that five gifted photographers will be featured in Summer Quintet, with work from their portfolios. The quintet and the titles of their individual exhibits are: Matthias Boettrich, Close to Home; Daniel P. Crozet, Curves; Michelle Macirella, In the Moment; Martin Nott, Waterscapes; and John C. Solberg, PotPourri.
Guest Photographers also exhibiting are Steve Tryon, in the East Gallery, Brian Calvasina, Karen Craft, Kim Denman, Clay Gehring, David P. Somer, and Camera Rochester club award-winning photographers Alex Pendelton, Wendy Cohen, Donald Dunn, David Ridley, Jerome Kaye, and Bob Hinkelman. Additionally, Artists-in-Residence Jim Patton and David Perlman, and Gallery Partners Joel Krenis, Steve Levinson, Gil Maker, Don Menges, Dan Neuberger, Betsy Phillips, Gary Thompson, Phyllis Thompson, Sheridan Vincent, and George Wallace will round out the show.

The exhibit opens on June 16 and the Artists' Reception will be on Friday, June 18 from 5 to 8:30pm. The reception is a great opportunity to view the work, to chat with the photographers, and to invest in their fine photographs. There is NO admission fee to visit Image City Photography Gallery. Note that First Friday Gallery Night is on July 2 from 6 to 9pm.

Our popular Architecture for Lunch walks return for two more Fridays this month. Tailored for those with busy schedules, these 20 minute presentations feature the history and architecture of downtown Rochester with Cynthia Howk, The Landmark Society's architectural research coordinator, as your guide. For the best lunch break you've ever taken, join us from 12:10 - 12:35 p.m. on: Friday, June 18th at Washington Square Park, the city's first park, originally destined to be the location of the court house for the newly established Monroe County. Meet at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on S. Clinton Ave., opposite GEVA Theatre Friday, June 25th at Eastman Place at E. Main and Gibbs streets, where we will tour the exciting East End Cultural District, with its historic Victorian resicential enclave and handsome early 20th-century buildings Meet opposite the entrance to Eastman Theatre.
